Painting Faces Over Collage Video

I have a new video for painting faces over collage. This is a great way to get fast and realistic faces painted without drawing, So all you beginners out there that would love a great looking face without the worry of drawing this is for you, and anyone else that would like a faster way to get a great looking face.

Soul Food and Life Book class Work

Wow , how time flies. March already. I have been arting to my hearts content. Here are some of the journal pages I have done.

This was lesson 16 in Soul Food. Using acrylic paint like water color. Many layers to get the depth in the fish. I do love the look you get and I plan on trying this again.

Soul Food class #13 by Jodi Ohl

I just finished lesson 13 in soul food  by Jodi Ohl, I had fun playing with my paint and stencils to make the wild patterned background. We then had to put a shape of some sort as a mask on top and paint the rest out with gesso. As usual I could not stay simple, I just love detail,!

 

Pastel Faces

LOVE playing with pastels and faces. This is a class I am doing in Soul Food, Jeanette House did this lesson with oil pastels but I didn't have oil so I used what I had in soft pastels. Here is my video on lesson 12.   http://youtu.be/n-MksMfgW7Y

Journal 52 week 4 Video

I have one more Journal 52 page finished, this is week 4, it took me about a week to plan what I wanted on this page, I am weird that way, I guess I know that if I haven't got an idea for a page and try to wing it, chances are about 90% that I will not like it in the end. I also love the planning stage and preparing. I don't want you to think that everything right down to color choices and placements are planned because they aren't that is done when I am actually doing the page. I only plan what  the subject will be, like for instance this page,I new there was going to be a little girl and  a book shelf and that is all. The rest like what her hair was like and color and everything else came to me when I was doing the page. Well enough rambling here is the page and the video

My new Life book class 2014

Well the winter is not letting up any. It is going to be another 6 week according to our furry friend Willy. So I have added another art class to my winter YA! Life Book 2014, love it! so many great teachers! Here are a few of my pages from the classes. The first is my Art Angle and the second Friend Out For A Treat O Sweet characters.
